Data Analyst
Location: New York, NY
Type: Full-Time | Hybrid
Our client, a fast-growing healthcare organization, is seeking a Data Analyst to join their Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional partners to analyze healthcare data, build scalable data models, and develop dashboards that support data-driven decision-making.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and analyze data from multiple sources while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Calculate key healthcare metrics such as PMPM costs, utilization trends, engagement metrics, and capitation-related measures using claims and operational data.
- Support validation and quality checks for recurring claims and eligibility data refreshes.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for healthcare data within the analytics team.
- Design and maintain data models and transformation pipelines using SQL and modern data tools.
- Develop clear, visually engaging dashboards and reports that translate data insights for stakeholders.
- Create documentation and training materials to support both technical and non-technical users of analytics products.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, analytics engineering, or medical economics.
- Experience working with healthcare claims and eligibility datasets.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and collaborating across teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with dbt or modern data transformation frameworks.
- Familiarity with clinical data sources and standards such as EHR, ADT, FHIR, or USCDI.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Python (pandas) or R.
