Full-timeEngineering

About the Role:

We're building India's largest fitness platform — powering group workouts, gym sessions, and habit-building experiences for millions across India. The Member Experience team owns the features that keep members coming back, from live class infrastructure to retention loops like Cult Ninja.

We're looking for a backend engineer who's 1.5–2 years in, has shipped real features at a product company, and is genuinely excited about how AI tools are changing the way engineers work and deliver.

What you'll Build:

• APIs and microservices powering group workouts, gym sessions, and member retention at scale.

• AI-assisted workflows and agent-based tooling that multiply team output.

• Integrations across member data, scheduling, and engagement systems.

What we're looking for:

The Fundamentals

• 1.5–2 years of backend experience at a product-based company

• Proficient in Node.js / TypeScript or Java / Spring Boot — deep ownership of one, working familiarity with the other is a plus

• Solid REST API design — versioning, idempotency, error contracts, auth

• Comfortable with SQL + one NoSQL store (Redis, MongoDB)

• Can reason about latency, retries, and failure modes — not just happy paths

• Curious about AI tools and how they can meaningfully speed up delivery — understands where agents add real leverage and where they break

Ownership Mindset

• Has owned a feature from design to post-launch metrics — not just the API layer

• Proactively flags risks, doesn't wait to be asked

• Writes code like someone else will maintain it during a 2 AM incident

What to expect here:

• Features you ship will touch millions of active members across India

• Surround yourself with sharp, opinionated engineers who push each other

• Real ownership — your name goes on the feature, the metrics, and the learnings

• A team that takes code quality seriously without being dogmatic

Note: Apply with your resume clearly showing tech contribution and product impact — not just a list of technologies.
