Function: Data Science / Machine Learning Engineering

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist or AI/ML Engineer with deep, practical experience in Palantir AIP to design, build, and scale production-grade AI solutions. You will leverage AIP Agents, Ontologies, Actions, AI governance & security, and the AIP SDK to integrate LLMs with operational systems, create safe and auditable AI workflows, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 3–9+ years (flexible by level) in Data Science / ML Engineering with hands-on Palantir AIP delivery in production.
• Proven experience with AIP core concepts: Ontology, AIP Agents, Actions/Tools, AIP SDK, governance & auditability, policy guardrails, and AIP Canvas/Prompt Library (or equivalent).
• Strong Python engineering skills (packages such as pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, FastAPI/Flask for services).
• Practical LLM experience: prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector stores, evaluation & guardrails, grounding with enterprise data.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, SQL, and data pipelines (batch/stream).
• Experience deploying AI services on AWS/Azure/GCP; familiarity with containers (Docker) and orchestrators (Kubernetes).
• Ability to translate business problems into measurable AI solutions with clear KPIs.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Palantir Foundry/Gotham (objects, pipelines, Ontology-backed apps, Code Repositories, Contour/Quiver).
• Familiarity with AIP Actions into enterprise systems (e.g., ServiceNow, SAP, Salesforce, custom REST/gRPC).
• Vector databases (FAISS, Milvus, Pinecone, OpenSearch), document stores, and retrieval strategies.
• Observability & evaluation: LangSmith, Weights & Biases, MLflow, custom eval harnesses for LLMs.
• Security/compliance: RBAC/ABAC, data residency, PHI/PII handling, audit trails, policy-as-code (OPA).
• Experience in one or more domains: Airlines/Travel, Public Sector, Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Supply Chain.
• Front-end familiarity for AI apps: React/TypeScript (for quick AIP app customization and UX polish).
