Job Title: Java Engineer – AML/KYC Compliance Platform

Location: Singapore

Work Set Up: Onsite

Schedule: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Summary:

Join our team as a Java Engineer and play a key role in developing and delivering advanced regulatory solutions in AML/KYC for our client’s global compliance platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize systems that ensure compliance for customers across 200+ countries. If you are a hands-on developer with strong Java expertise and a passion for solving complex problems, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and deliver advanced regulatory solutions in AML/KYC for the client’s compliance platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, lead engineers, and stakeholders, to develop technical designs and strategies.
• Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring quality and performance at every phase.
• Ensure solutions adhere to technical specifications, business requirements, and defined processes.
• Adapt quickly to changing business needs and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Demonstrate a customer-centric mindset in day-to-day tasks.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, Spring, and Hibernate.
• Experience in developing and integrating REST APIs and Web Services.
• Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Practical experience with relational databases like MySQL or Oracle.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles.
• Familiarity with web-based programming languages.
• Experience with BigQuery and data analytics is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to refactor and optimize existing codebases.
• Experience working in transaction processing systems, especially within the payments domain, is preferred.
• Participation in tech events, hackathons, open-source projects, or authoring tech blogs is a plus.
