About The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven IT Support Specialist to join our team! Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Lead and working closely with other service team members, this junior role is responsible for providing Service Desk Support across all Konica Minolta offices around Australia. The team handles the full range of support requests from L1 through to L3, so you'll gain broad exposure across a variety of technologies and challenges. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of IT support experience to grow their skills in a modern enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide IT support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues, including Microsoft 365, Windows, and macOS environments
- Assist with user account management, including onboarding and offboarding, across Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft 365, and other cloud-based platforms
- Support endpoint device management, including deployment, configuration, and patching using tools such as Microsoft Intune
- Provide basic technical support at the network level, including Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN connectivity, VPN troubleshooting, and escalation of firewall or security issues to senior staff
- Triage, log, and resolve support tickets within agreed SLAs using the ITSM ticketing system, collaborating with senior team members on more complex issues as needed
- Monitor system alerts, respond to security notifications, and assist with basic cybersecurity tasks such as phishing reports, MFA support, and access reviews
- Maintain and update IT knowledge base articles, SOPs, and system documentation to support self-service and team efficiency
- Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction
Who are we looking for?
- 1-2 years of experience in an IT support, help desk, or service desk role, with a relevant qualification (e.g. Certificate III/IV in IT, diploma, or degree in Information Technology) or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience with remote support tools and troubleshooting issues for both in-office and remote workers
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability with a methodical approach to troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, OneDrive) and Windows 10/11 administration
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-first mindset and the ability to build rapport with end users at all levels
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles (e.g. phishing awareness, password policies, MFA)
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft Fundamentals (AZ-900, MS-900) are highly regarded but not essential
