We are looking for a Senior IP Network Engineer to design, implement and operate IP network infrastructures in multi-site and data center environments. The role involves working with technologies such as L3 IP networks, MPLS, VPN, switching and network security while contributing to the definition and introduction of new network architectures. You will also support the technical management of existing networks, including troubleshooting complex incidents and coordinating with internal teams and vendors.

Your impact

• Design, implement and operate IP network infrastructures supporting multi-site environments and data centers.
• Contribute to the definition, introduction and evolution of network architectures and technologies to ensure high levels of reliability, performance, security and scalability.
• Provide technical management and operational support for existing network environments, ensuring continuous service availability.
• Act as a technical point of contact between internal IT teams, project leaders, governance, security teams and external vendors.
• Support the implementation of new technologies and ensure knowledge transfer through documentation, procedures and technical workshops.
• Ensure the stability and reliability of critical network infrastructures by proactively identifying risks and implementing improvements.

Your role in action

• Design and implement network solutions based on L3 IP technologies, including Multi-VRF, VRF-Lite and IP/MPLS.
• Develop and maintain campus switching architectures, including multi-VLAN environments.
• Implement and manage network security technologies such as firewalls, DMZ, authentication mechanisms and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
• Configure and maintain secure connectivity solutions, including IPSec VPN, DMVPN and FlexVPN.
• Contribute to the deployment and management of wireless network infrastructures, including central switching architectures with lightweight access points.
• Define optimal network architectures considering capacity, reliability, redundancy and cost constraints.
• Define and execute test plans for new technologies and infrastructure components.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to implement new architectures and ensure optimal solutions.
• Provide technical support and expertise to operational teams for daily network management and network expansion.
• Define and maintain technical standards, rules and procedures for network management, including remote configuration, inventory management, backup processes, monitoring, alerting and network management systems (NMS).
• Analyze complex network incidents and fault situations, identify root causes and define corrective and preventive measures.
• Manage vendor interactions during network extensions, upgrades and incident resolution to maintain high reliability of the infrastructure.
• Support operational teams and projects through technical guidance, workshops and documentation.

You have the following skills

• Strong expertise in IP networking technologies and protocols, including L3 networks, VRF, MPLS and multi-site network architectures.
• Solid knowledge of network switching and campus network design, including multi-VLAN environments.
• Experience with network security technologies, including firewalls, DMZ architectures, authentication systems and intrusion prevention systems.
• Strong experience with secure connectivity solutions, including IPSec VPN, DMVPN and FlexVPN.
• Knowledge of enterprise wireless networking architectures, including centralized switching and lightweight access points.
• Ability to design and evaluate network architectures considering scalability, redundancy, performance and cost constraints.
• Experience managing and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures in large environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex network issues.
• Ability to work independently and methodically, with a strong sense of responsibility and risk assessment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with internal teams, departments, vendors and service providers.
• Ability to work in operational environments where priorities may change due to urgent incidents.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with evolving IP networking technologies.
• Knowledge of Nokia routers (SR-OS) is considered an asset.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, ICT, Telecommunications or equivalent technical experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Dutch, French and English.
• Valid driving license (Category B).

Fourchette de salaire :

Salary will be determined based on experience, skills and expertise.
