Context
As part of its target architecture, the organisation has deployed Databricks and Dataiku on top of an AWS platform.
Several migration initiatives are ongoing to rebuild use cases originally developed in other technologies (such as SAS, AWS Sagemaker, BW/HANA, etc.).
Job Description
The organisation is looking for a Dataiku Expert to join a project team responsible for rebuilding existing SAS program functionalities used by Finance and Regulatory Reporting teams.
The objective is to leverage Databricks (storage/compute) together with Dataiku (data transformation) while prioritising the use of Dataiku Visual Recipes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex data transformation workflows in Dataiku following established guidelines (e.g., dev vs. automation node, low‑code recipes).
- Under guidance of the Tech Lead, use Databricks compute capabilities to optimise processing performance and cost.
- Ensure data quality and consistency throughout the transformation lifecycle.
- Deliver knowledge transfer to both the project team and the business team who will assume responsibility for future operations.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in Dataiku for complex data transformations and ELT processes, including Visual Recipes and plug‑in development.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and experience with data‑warehousing projects; familiarity with Python or similar languages.
- Experience with Databricks, including compute optimisation.
- Ability to collaborate with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SQL/SAS and data warehousing.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Dataiku (Dataiku Developer certification preferred).
Languages
- Fluent in Dutch or French.
- Fluent in English.
Location
- Brussels (minimum 3 days onsite).
