About The Role
We are seeking a talented UX / UI Designer (w/m/d) to join our team in Coburg, Bavaria, on a full-time basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our digital services by contributing to the development of our design system, SHIELD, which serves as the foundation for all our digital products and platforms. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating engaging and user-friendly interfaces that enhance the overall user experience. You will work closely with UX and UI designers, developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure a consistent visual identity and seamless usability across various platforms. This position is initially fixed-term for two years, with a start date from June 1, 2026, and provides a platform to drive innovative solutions that elevate our customer interactions to the next level.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a completed degree in Design, Behavioral Sciences, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. You should have extensive experience in UX and UI design, particularly in designing and implementing design systems and user interfaces. Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, including relevant plugins like Tokens Studio, is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams are crucial for success in this role. Creativity, high innovation capacity, and a keen eye for aesthetic detail are also highly valued. Additionally, a good understanding of current UX trends and best practices will enable you to contribute meaningfully to our design initiatives.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining the SHIELD design system, ensuring it serves as a solid foundation for all digital products and services. You will drive innovative solutions to improve user experience and interface design, working closely with UX/UI designers, developers, and other stakeholders. Your tasks will include creating wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that align with our brand identity and usability standards. You will also be involved in ensuring consistency across various platforms and devices, conducting user research, and participating in training sessions to stay updated on the latest UX/UI trends. Collaboration and effective communication are vital, as you will be a key contributor to cross-functional projects aimed at delivering exceptional digital experiences.
