Summary

Join IS&T's Technology Services team and build cutting-edge IT systems for Apple TV+ Studio & Production and Music operations. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll architect and develop large-scale web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment. You'll own applications end-to-end, working full stack and contributing to a robust technology ecosystem.

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic and expanding team. In this role, you will be part of a larger engineering team working on highly integrated applications in a fast-paced environment. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Design and Product, to design and develop complex, distributed, high-quality solutions with tight deadlines. You must demonstrate a decisive leadership mindset, as approximately 30% of this role is dedicated to managing and directing teams of contractors to ensure project success and delivery excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrate deep hands-on expertise in Java, or Node.js, and frontend Javascript frameworks such as React.js or Vue.js.
  • Solid proficiency in using SQL or NoSQL Databases.
  • Strong experience in designing and developing microservices and APIs (RESTful and/or GraphQL).
  • Extensive experience utilizing Cloud Platforms (AWS or Azure or GCP), and Cloud Services (e.g, functions/lambdas).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of containerization concepts like Kubernetes, Docker and others.
  • Experience with DevOps process automation using Terraform, Pulumi, or alternatives.
  • Experience with continuous integration (e.g. Jenkins) and testing frameworks (e.g. JUnit).
  • Experience working with distributed, global teams.
  • Experience working with observability and monitoring systems such as Dynatrace or DataDog.
  • Experience working in highly integrated systems.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work and solve problems independently.
