Role Purpose

We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in Wide Area Networks (WAN) and cloud technologies. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to design, implement and support complex network and cloud environments. This role requires solid technical expertise, strong problem-solving ability and a strategic mindset to ensure optimal performance, reliability and security across infrastructure platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls and VPNs
• Optimise network performance through capacity planning, traffic engineering and troubleshooting
• Design, implement and manage cloud infrastructure across platforms such as Azure and AWS
• Optimise cloud utilisation and cost efficiency
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using scripting tools
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy and manage cloud-based applications
• Monitor systems and troubleshoot performance issues
• Participate in planning and design for new sites, expansions and infrastructure upgrades
• Provide third-line technical support and resolve complex technology issues
• Act as technical lead on infrastructure and transformation projects
• Work with stakeholders to define requirements and design scalable solutions
• Support standardisation and adoption of enterprise technology practices across multiple business units
• Develop innovative approaches to recurring technical challenges
• Focus on technology simplification, vendor management and cost optimisation
• Maintain technical documentation, processes and knowledge bases
• Contribute to IT governance, policies, procedures and compliance activities

Education & Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Industry certifications are advantageous (e.g. Microsoft, Azure, Cisco, Project Management, Information Security)

Experience & Technical Background

• Approximately 5+ years’ experience in infrastructure engineering or similar technical roles
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale environments
• Strong background in cloud platforms, networking, firewalls and infrastructure technologies
• Experience with Azure Active Directory, M365, SQL and modern cloud environments
• Experience leading or contributing to technical projects within corporate environments
• Experience managing complex infrastructure integrations or technology transformation initiatives
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and ISO-aligned IT standards
• Solid understanding of project management principles
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
