Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Cybersecurity Intern with a strong academic background in cybersecurity and a passion for IoT and embedded systems security. This internship is designed for candidates who are eager to deepen their understanding of secure software development, embedded device security, and vulnerability analysis within connected environments.
The ideal candidate is currently pursuing or has recently completed a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity and demonstrates strong interest in software security, IoT architectures, and low-level programming. Hands-on experience through personal projects, research activities, or academic work related to IoT or embedded security will be considered a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the security analysis of IoT and embedded systems.
- Support the team in identifying vulnerabilities in firmware and embedded software.
- Contribute to the development and testing of secure software components written in C.
- Participate in security assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability research for connected devices.
- Support the development of secure coding practices for embedded environments.
- Collaborate with software engineers to review code and identify potential security weaknesses.
- Document findings, research results, and technical analysis.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security practices related to IoT ecosystems.
Requirements:
- Mandatory: Master’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Cybersecurity.
- Mandatory: Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Mandatory: Ability to develop software in C.
- Strong interest in software security.
- Strong interest in IoT and embedded systems security.
- Understanding of secure coding principles and common software vulnerabilities.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and development tools.
- Basic understanding of network protocols and device communication.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Personal, academic, or research projects related to IoT or embedded security.
- Familiarity with firmware analysis, reverse engineering, or embedded debugging tools.
- Exposure to hardware security concepts or microcontroller architectures.
- Experience with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
- Knowledge of common vulnerability classes (e.g., buffer overflows, memory corruption).
