About the Role

As the Head of Data Science, you will lead data-driven initiatives across the Philippines and Cambodia markets, working closely with senior business leaders, internal stakeholders, and client teams. Reporting to the regional Head of Data Science, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing strategic data science programs, driving innovation, and ensuring project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with clients and internal teams to understand business needs and identify opportunities for impactful data solutions.
• Act as a bridge between local market teams and the regional data science hub, enhancing the go-to-market strategy for data solutions.
• Develop and execute holistic data science programs to drive innovation and accelerate solution launches.
• Lead a team of data scientists, providing mentorship and ensuring excellence in client engagements.
• Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and trends, incorporating advanced AI/ML capabilities into business strategies.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Deliver executive-level communication and storytelling to internal and external stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in data science, AI/ML, or business intelligence.
• Strong expertise in statistical concepts, machine learning, and hands-on experience with tools like Python, R, SQL, SAS, or similar.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with diverse stakeholders in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in the payments or banking industry is a plus, along with in-market knowledge of local culture and trends.
