Company Description:
Aistech Space is focused on generating affordable, recurrent, high resolution thermal imagery of the planet to provide a new perspective of Earth’s changing resources. The company is based in Barcelona and aims to revolutionize remote sensing for environmental monitoring and resource management.
What you will do:
You will be the product owner and strategic driver for Aistech’s core geospatial platform. You will sit at the intersection of our Engineering teams (Ground Segment, API, Frontend) and our Business stakeholders, translating high-level market needs into a coherent technical roadmap.
In this role, you are expected to:
- Own the Platform Roadmap: Define and prioritize the product strategy for our cloud-based Earth Observation platform. You will balance the needs of diverse stakeholders—from "Mission Control" operators needing satellite tasking tools to commercial clients needing API access to thermal data.
- Bridge the Gap (Space to Cloud): Orchestrate the flow of requirements across our technical stack. You will ensure that the Ground Infrastructure team (satellite command/control), the Data Team (processing pipelines), and the Frontend/API Team (customer delivery) are aligned on the same quarterly goals.
- Translate Business to Technical: Convert abstract business goals (e.g., "Enable wildfire monitoring for government clients") into concrete technical epics (e.g., "Implement low-latency thermal data ingestion pipeline").
- Empower the Engineering Team: Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Planning, Reviews) and define the "What" and "Why" of features. You will provide clear specifications and acceptance criteria, enabling the developers to define the "How" and write their own technical tasks.
- Manage Complexity: Oversee the lifecycle of a product that involves high-volume data ingestion, AI/ML integration, and complex user workflows (dashboards, tasking requests, and analytics).
- Protect the Timeline: Act as a shield for the development team, managing scope creep and making tough trade-off decisions to ensure we deliver high-quality software on time.
Who you are:
You are a Product Strategist who happens to speak 'Engineer.' While you likely have a technical foundation, your true passion lies in scaling products from MVP to market-defining solutions. You don’t just manage a backlog; you own the product vision, translating complex space-tech capabilities into a roadmap that wins customers. You are as comfortable defending a multi-year growth strategy to the Board as you are discussing system trade-offs with the engineering team. For you, technology is the engine, but market impact is the destination.
Must:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management for software products, preferably in B2B SaaS, Cloud Platforms, or Data-Intensive industries.
- Experience scaling a product from MVP to a mature, enterprise-grade platform.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to manage a product that spans multiple technical domains (e.g., Backend, Frontend, and Infrastructure/Hardware).
- Strategic Communication: Excellent ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value. You can say "No" to stakeholders when necessary to protect the roadmap.
- Agile Mastery: Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, but with a pragmatic approach—you focus on delivery over rigid process.
- Fluent in English.
Nice to have:
- Experience in the Space Industry (Earth Observation, Ground Segment) or Geospatial Sector (GIS, Remote Sensing).
- Technical Background: Previous experience as a Developer, DevOps, or Data Scientist. You must understand the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and modern cloud architectures.
- Experience with IoT or hardware-integrated software platforms (connecting physical devices to the cloud).
- Familiarity with AI/ML product lifecycles.
