We’re Hiring: Manual QA Engineer – Cluj-Napoca


At Perficient, we build software that powers enterprise-grade laboratory medical devices capable of analyzing thousands of samples continuously. We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer to join our testing team and help ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of our solutions in this critical domain.

What You Will Do

• Plan, design, and execute manual test cases for web and desktop applications

• Identify defects, document them clearly, and track their resolution

• Validate new features and ensure existing functionalities remain stable

• Work closely with developers, product owners, and other team members to clarify requirements and understand user workflows

• Participate in test planning, estimation, and process improvements

• Contribute to maintaining high-quality standards in a highly regulated industry

• Communicate test progress, risks, and results in a clear and structured manner


Your Skill Set

• 3–5 years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer for web or desktop applications

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and software development lifecycle

• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools

• Basic understanding of automation concepts is a plus (not required)

• Experience in a regulated domain (medical, pharma) is critical

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Good communication skills and proficiency in English


Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, or a related field


Location

This role is based in Cluj-Napoca. We do offer a hybrid work model, combining the flexibility of remote work with the benefits of in-person collaboration, however for this position, the work will take place mostly from the office.
