Position Overview:

As a Product Designer at MEAtec, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience and interface of our Battery Passport and Battery Analytics solutions. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to create innovative, user-centred designs that enhance usability and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis to understand user needs, workflows, and pain points, particularly in the battery industry.
• UX/UI Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI mockups that align with industry best practices and MEAtec’s design principles.
• Maintain and evolve a cohesive design system to ensure consistency across all MEAtec platforms.
• Organize complex battery-related data with a clear information architecture to make it visually accessible for different user types (e.g., OEMs, End Customers).
• Collaborate with product, software, data, and business teams to translate requirements into production-ready designs.
• Prepare engineering-oriented technical presentations, dashboards, and visual materials for internal and external stakeholders.
• Design LinkedIn carousel visuals and brand-aligned communication assets.
• Explore and apply AI-assisted design tools to accelerate frontend and UI development.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in interaction design, product design, and product research, preferably in battery technology, sustainability, or data-heavy applications. 
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar tools for UI/UX design.
• Experience with prototyping and testing using tools like InVision, Framer, or similar for interactive prototyping and usability testing.
• Familiarity with WordPress and/or Wix for web pages and lightweight product sites.
• Basic front-end understanding of HTML, CSS, and React components is a plus.
• Strong data visualization skills in designing dashboards and effectively visualizing complex datasets.
• Demonstrate soft skills such as strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business requirements into seamless user experiences.
