About the Role

As a 2D Game Artist, you’ll help bring a new mobile title to life by creating high-quality visual assets that shape the game world and player experience. Working closely with the art director, game designers, and developers, you’ll contribute to the visual style of the project while producing engaging artwork that supports gameplay and storytelling.

This is a rare opportunity to join a small, agile team within one of the world’s most successful gaming companies — combining the creative freedom of a startup with the stability and resources of a global leader.

What You’ll Do

  • Create high-quality 2D art assets including characters, environments, props, icons, and other in-game elements.
  • Produce artwork that aligns with the game’s visual style and artistic direction.
  • Work from concept to final in-game assets as part of the art production pipeline.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and other artists to ensure assets integrate smoothly into the game.
  • Follow art direction and contribute ideas that help enhance the game’s visual quality.
  • Support the creation of assets for new features, events, and live-ops content.
  • Prepare and optimize art assets for mobile platforms and various screen resolutions.
  • Continuously improve your craft while staying aware of trends in mobile and casual game art.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience as a 2D Artist, ideally in the mobile games industry.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality 2D artwork for games, from concept to final assets.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and strong digital illustration skills.
  • Solid understanding of composition, color theory, lighting, and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to follow established art styles and maintain visual consistency.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills — comfortable working in a cross-disciplinary team.
  • Basic understanding of technical constraints when creating assets for game engines such as Unity.
  • Interest in exploring AI tools that can support the art production workflow.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with animation tools such as Spine, After Effects, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Unity art pipelines and asset integration.
  • Experience creating UI elements or icons.
  • Passion for games and curiosity about what makes games visually appealing to players.
