Backend Developer


  • 12 Month extendable contract
  • Abu Dhabi - Office based

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join a growing technology team on a long‑term contract basis.


As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and integrations that support large‑scale, mission‑critical healthcare systems. You will work extensively with Java Spring Boot, Azure cloud services, APIs, and modern DevOps tooling.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend applications using Microsoft Azure services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps).
  • Implement and manage secure, high‑performance APIs using API Management.
  • Use Kubernetes for container orchestration and application scalability.
  • Build microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Core, and Spring Data.
  • Implement app security using Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT.
  • Develop RESTful services and backend integrations with cloud databases including SQL and Cosmos DB.
  • Deploy Spring Boot applications on Azure and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).


Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Backend Developer with strong hands‑on expertise in:
  • Java Spring Boot
  • Azure cloud
  • Healthcare domain experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of API development, Kubernetes, SQL/Cosmos DB, OWASP standards.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
