Job Description:

A rare opportunity to join the Darktrace/Email model development team. Here you will get to understand, investigate and work to improve the detection capabilities of Darktrace/Email. This is a technical but non-coding role.

What will I be doing:

The role entails working within a small team which deals with cybersecurity incidents reported globally by customers of Darktrace/Email. These incidents need to be analysed in depth: pinpointing their distinctive properties, understanding the system’s decision making engine and proposing improvements to that decision making. Findings from these investigations also need to be summarized in written form to relevant stakeholders, notably customers.

Working in this team you will be involved in the processes that drive the development of this great tool. You will also see and understand the email threat landscape at its most advanced.

What experience do I need:

The role will suit a team player with a strong analytical mindset, a desire to understand complex systems, and a willingness to champion the Darktrace/Email product and take pride in its progression.

Prerequisites for the role:

  • Familiarity with Darktrace products, the /Email console in particular,
  • Knowledge of basic email cybersecurity concepts,
  • An ability to explain technical concepts clearly, both formally (responding to customers) and casually (with peers),
  • An ability to reason logically in unfamiliar situations,
  • An ability to solve problems creatively,
  • No knowledge of programming is required for the role. However, familiarity with basic data science concepts would be generally useful.

Benefits:

  • 23 days’ holiday + all public holidays, rising to 25 days after 2 years of service,
  • Additional day off for your birthday,
  • Private medical insurance which covers you, your cohabiting partner and children,
  • Life insurance of 4 times your base salary,
  • Salary sacrifice pension scheme,
  • Enhanced family leave,
  • Confidential Employee Assistance Program,
  • Cycle to work scheme.
