We are seeking a skilled Desktop Engineer with strong experience in the banking domain to provide end-user computing support and administration. The ideal candidate will manage desktops, laptops, operating systems, and endpoint security tools, ensuring seamless operations for banking staff. This role requires troubleshooting, software deployment, and maintaining high standards of IT support and security compliance in a financial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-user computing support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals in a banking environment.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and endpoint security tools.
- Deploy software updates, patches, and security fixes across the organization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end-users.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights according to IT policies.
- Ensure compliance with banking IT security policies and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and support activities.
- Collaborate with other IT teams for project implementations, system upgrades, and migrations.
- Provide timely support for critical incidents to minimize downtime.
- Proven experience as a Desktop Engineer, preferably in the banking or financial services domain.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, macOS, and enterprise endpoint management tools.
- Experience with Active Directory, group policies, and endpoint security solutions.
- Familiarity with software deployment tools (SCCM, Intune, or equivalent).
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of banking regulatory requirements and IT compliance is a plus.
