About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Android Engineer to join our dynamic software development team in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the design, development, and implementation of innovative mobile applications that enhance our customer experience. You will lead and inspire a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages technical excellence and continuous improvement. Your expertise will be critical in shaping the technical architecture of our Android applications, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and aligned with our strategic goals.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in native Android application development using Java and Kotlin. A strong background in application and data architecture, coupled with experience in designing scalable, high-performance systems, is essential. You should have proficiency with modern development tools and frameworks such as RxJava, Coroutines, Dagger, Espresso, JUnit, and Jenkins. A bachelor's, master's, or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Additionally, experience mentoring junior team members and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders is highly valued. Preferred qualifications include 8+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, and experience working within agile environments.
