Job Opportunity: HSE Engineer – Sohar, Oman
Salary Range: 1200 OMR to 1400 OMR + OT (All inclusive)
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced HSE Engineer to support a Brownfield Expansion Project located in Sohar, Oman. This is a full-time, long-term role, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a major industrial project within a dynamic and safety-focused environment.
Position: HSE Engineer
- Location: Sohar, Oman
- Project Type: Brownfield Expansion
- Duration: Full-Time | Long-Term Assignment
- Total Experience Required: Minimum 10 years
- Relevant HSE Experience: Minimum 5 years
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Environmental, Safety, or Chemical)
- Certification: NEBOSH IGC (Mandatory)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee HSE engineering functions and implement advanced safety strategies.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments in accordance with client and regulatory standards.
- Develop HSE procedures, reports, and compliance tracking tools.
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deliver toolbox talks and promote a strong HSE culture among all project stakeholders.
- Monitor contractor HSE performance and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation and reporting in line with client requirements.
Skills Required:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE analysis/reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of industrial HSE standards and regulations.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
