- Lead the end‑to‑end inflight dining strategy for a premium global airline, shaping the customer experience across Qantas’ domestic and international network.
- Own a high‑profile, commercially critical portfolio, balancing customer satisfaction, sustainability goals and NPS with long-term unit cost improvements and at scale.

We are looking for a new Senior Product Manager – Dining. This is a critical role in shaping the Qantas inflight customer experience globally, with accountability for the airline’s inflight dining model across the domestic and international network. The role leads the strategic planning and delivery of inflight dining products, ensuring programs are implemented effectively and within budget while also delivering the standards customers expect from a premium global airline. It is responsible for sourcing, developing and evolving all inflight food products across the global Qantas operation.
This role is accountable for the development and ongoing management of the airline’s inflight food programs, including menu planning, food procurement and the management of key supplier partnerships. The role identifies and drives customer‑led initiatives across the inflight food portfolio that deliver sustainable unit cost improvements while maintaining, and where possible enhancing, customer satisfaction and Net Promoter Score (NPS). Strong commercial judgement, senior stakeholder influencing skills, combined with a deep understanding of customer expectations, managing food/airline suppliers and first-hand knowledge of the challenges that get in the way of creating an exceptional dining experience at 38,000 feet are critical to success in this role.
You must also an experienced people leader with an outstanding track record of supporting your team to thrive—role modelling inclusive leadership, building trust, providing meaningful coaching and feedback, and creating an environment where people feel safe, motivated and supported to do the best work of their lives.
You’ll have –
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a complex, customer‑focused environment.
- Tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Business or Economics desirable; strong airline and Food & Beverage knowledge essential.
- Demonstrated depth of experience across food and beverage operations and customer service development within the airline industry.
- Well‑developed financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to balance cost, quality and customer outcomes.
- Proven people leadership capability, with experience leading, motivating and developing high‑performing teams.
- Strong track record of managing change and delivering continuous improvement initiatives.
- Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes on time and within scope.
- Highly effective communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills, supported by strong computer and data literacy.
