Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Specialist (m/f/d) to join our HR team in Berlin on a 1-year fixed-term contract. In this role, you will support the HR department in managing HR processes and employee administration for Denmark and EU related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding, ensuring smooth and efficient HR processes
- Prepare and administer employment contracts and HR documentation
- Maintain and update employee records, HR files, and documentation
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, providing guidance and support
- Support conflict resolution and employee relations, helping to maintain a positive workplace culture
- Support the implementation and administration of HR software systems
- Assist with compensation and benefits administration, including data entry and preparation for payroll processing
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, internal policies, and HR procedures
- Coordinate visa processes and related documentation for international employees
- Coordinate and manage appointments with authorities, as well as other administrative matters for employees working on international projects
- Support absence management in compliance with legal requirements and operational needs
- Prepare HR reports and support general HR administration tasks
- Collaborate with internal departments and project teams across multiple locations
Qualifications
- Degree or vocational training in Human Resources or a related field
- Previous experience in HR administration, HR operations, or personnel management
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
- Experience with HR software or HRIS systems is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Additional language skills in German or Danish are beneficial
