HR Specialist (m/f/d) – 1-Year Contract

Position Overview


We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Specialist (m/f/d) to join our HR team in Berlin on a 1-year fixed-term contract. In this role, you will support the HR department in managing HR processes and employee administration for Denmark and EU related projects.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage and oversee the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding, ensuring smooth and efficient HR processes
  • Prepare and administer employment contracts and HR documentation
  • Maintain and update employee records, HR files, and documentation
  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, providing guidance and support
  • Support conflict resolution and employee relations, helping to maintain a positive workplace culture
  • Support the implementation and administration of HR software systems
  • Assist with compensation and benefits administration, including data entry and preparation for payroll processing
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, internal policies, and HR procedures
  • Coordinate visa processes and related documentation for international employees
  • Coordinate and manage appointments with authorities, as well as other administrative matters for employees working on international projects
  • Support absence management in compliance with legal requirements and operational needs
  • Prepare HR reports and support general HR administration tasks
  • Collaborate with internal departments and project teams across multiple locations


Qualifications


  • Degree or vocational training in Human Resources or a related field
  • Previous experience in HR administration, HR operations, or personnel management
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • Experience with HR software or HRIS systems is an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Additional language skills in German or Danish are beneficial
