About the role

• Working together with the Chief Risk Officer to further develop Sygnum’s risk management framework
• Driving the implementation of existing and new risk methodologies, processes and tools
• Supporting to build a highly collaborative and proactive risk function that is able to navigate the increasingly complex business and regulatory environment especially in respect of operational risks
• Manage the Operational risk event notification and documentation process
• Conduct annual (RCSA) and ad - hoc risk assessments, in particular with regards to new technology, services and products
• Support the Risk appetite and KRI definition and annual renewal process
• Perform testing of the design and operational effectiveness of key controls and provide recommendations
• Perform risk analytics and prepare both financial and non financial risk reporting for different governance forums
• Support in fostering a company culture of confident and informed risk-taking and strong risk governance through training and communication

Our ideal candidate

• Excellent knowledge of Bank processes front to back, minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience in Banking, in a risk management (financial or non financial risk)
• Experience in rolling out Non-financial risk processes or strong interest in doing so
• Interest in or knowledge of crypto-currencies/blockchain/cryptography
• Self-motivated personality with positive can-do attitude
• Goal oriented, able to work providing hands-on and practicable solutions
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal in English and preferrable in German

Nice to have:

• Experience in market/credit or investment risk management
• Education in the field of risk management and/or auditing (CIA, CRMA, FRM, etc.)
• Experience/knowledge in programming and databases
• Knowledge of the Swiss regulatory framework and the expectations of the various stakeholders (regulators, external auditors, etc.)
