Technical Product Manager / Senior Functional Analyst
(Cards/ Onboarding)
Why join us?
Forget the high-level "vision" talk—we need someone who gets into the core of how banking actually works. In this role, you aren’t just a "manager"; you are the functional lead for a scrum team. You’ll be the person who takes a messy business idea and turns it into detailed functional spec that developers can actually build.
You’ll own the team’s backlog and the quality of what we ship (alongside the QA Engineer). While the Project Manager handles the big-picture roadmap and the QBRs, you’re on the ground making sure the features work as expected, API logic is right, the data flows are solid, and the team is meeting its sprint goals every sprint. If you’re a "functional first" person who knows their way around a mobile app, a database and an API, and you want to be the one who actually makes the delivery happen, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll do?
- Translate the idea – take a rough business idea and turn it into clear specifications so developers know exactly what to build without guessing
- System interoperability - Define integration requirements for APIs and microservices and ensure smooth system interoperability
- Mobile excellence - Work on mobile application requirements, applying UX principles and product use cases.
- Stay ahead of the team – keep the backlog ready and sorted at least 2-3 sprints in advance
- Be the Interpreter – act as the bridge between product managers and the tech team, ensuring the tech limits are understood and the business goals are met
- Keep the engine running – run daily stand-ups and clear any functional blockers so the team stays focused
- Collaborate with the Project Manager – while you handle the daily tasks, you sync with the Project Manager to ensure your team’s progress aligns with the broader bank-wide plan and QBR goals
- Show and tell – lead the feature team demos to showcase new capabilities to the organization
- Optimize with AI – experiment with AI tools to speed up your daily workflow – whether it’s using them to help draft detailed functional specs or map out complex data flows
What we’re looking for
- Experience - 7+ years of experience in similar roles preferably in banking or financial services
- Functional expertise - Strong background in gathering requirements and turning them into detailed functional/technical specs
- Tech-curious mindset – you don’t need to code, but you must be comfortable with APIs, JSON, XML, database concepts, understanding how microservices talk to each other
- Agile native – solid understanding of scrum and experience acting as a scrum master
- Digital product savvy – knowledge of mobile UX and responsive design
- High-level analyst skills – you enjoy figuring out the logic of a flow – how data moves from a user’s click through an API, into the core banking system and ends up in the datalake and reporting solutions.
- The “bridge” mentality – you can work with solutions architects to see if a feature is actually feasible, translate those technical limits to product managers, and keep the project manager/product manager updated so they can manage the bank-wide plan.
- AI-Forward: You are curious about how AI can make delivery faster and smarter. We don’t just talk about AI—we encourage you to experiment with it. You should be open to using AI tools to help document flows, write specs, or analyze data patterns to improve how the team works.
Why you’ll love it here
- Opportunity to work on strategic projects that impact the entire organization.
- A culture that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Access to cutting-edge technologies and tools.
