Cybersecurity is one of the most dynamic parts of medical software. You'll play a key role here, helping us build resilience against new threats and navigating important standards like FDA and NIST. We’re looking for someone to help us stay robust and compliant in an ever-changing landscape.


Part of your responsibilities:

  • Performing penetration and security assessment testing for Perficient products and services
  • Running vulnerability assessments using market-leading tools
  • Analyzing and crafting cyber security documentation and reports
  • Developing threat models to anticipate risks
  • Managing cyber security risk assessments and mitigation strategies
  • Researching new security technologies and proposing cost-effective solutions
  • Measuring the feasibility of various approaches and making recommendations
  • Conducting security analysis across system components (network, web apps, thick clients, etc.)
  • Performing code analysis to identify vulnerabilities


Technical Skills:

  • Strong grasp of penetration testing techniques
  • Deep understanding of cyber security principles, threats, and vulnerabilities
  • Familiarity with incident response methodologies and investigation techniques
  • Solid knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security methodologies
  • Proficiency in hardware and architectures, including peripherals
  • Experience implementing defense-in-depth security techniques
  • Understanding of virtualization and cloud computing
  • Ability to analyze system files, logs, and configuration files
  • Foundational knowledge of cryptography
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Nessus, Netsparker, Burp Suite, OWASP Zap, or Acunetix
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as .NET, C#, and Angular
  • Strong technical writing skills for creating clear procedures and reports
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (medical, automotive, or finance) is a big plus



Extra details:

  • Proven experience as a Penetration Tester is essential
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while solving complex problems
  • Skilled in creating documentation and mentoring junior colleagues
  • Highly flexible and resilient, with a strong ability to handle pressure and context switching
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, agile work environment
  • Effective collaborator within a geographically distributed team (EU and US)


Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, or a related field
  • Security certifications such as CompTIA, eJPT, OWASP, CISSP, GIAC, or OSCP are a definite plus
