Job Title: Sr. Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Infrastructure Engineer 2)
Location: Istanbul, Kavacık (Hybrid)
Department: Technology & Customer Engineering
Skill Level: L2
Key Responsibilities
- Installing new servers and updating existing servers with new software and patches
- Diagnose issues at the hypervisor level (KVM, QEMU, Virtuozzo, VMware, etc.)
- Perform log analysis for OpenStack services such as Neutron, Nova, and Cinder etc.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Ceph storage clusters for OpenStack integration.
- Maintaining documentation about cloud systems in order to ensure that operations are performed efficiently and effectively
- Monitoring server performance and capacity to ensure that they are operating within established parameters
- Planning and executing disaster recovery procedures in case of a disaster such as a fire or flood to ensure that business operations can be restored quickly
- Implement system changes and upgrades according to company change management processes
- Operating and managing data center hardware, including servers, storage devices and networking equipment
- Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting network issues
- Monitoring server performance and capacity to ensure that they are operating within established parameters
- Analyze and troubleshoot errors and performance issues in OpenStack services
- Perform root cause analysis of incidents and implement preventative measures
- Creating backup copies of data to protect it from loss due to system failure or human error
- Creating detailed documentation of all changes made to the cloud environment so that it can be recreated in the event of a disaster
- Managing system backups to ensure data integrity in case of failure
General Key Criteria/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of Technology experience.
- Knowledge and experience in OpenStack and virtualization technologies
- Diagnose issues at the hypervisor level (KVM, QEMU, Virtuozzo, VMware, etc.)
- Experience in Linux system administration (Preferably Ubuntu, CentOS, Fedora)
- Familiarity with Acronis or similar backup solutions
- Knowledge of GPU integration in virtualization environments
- Strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VLAN, Routing, and Firewall management
- Basic knowledge of storage and virtualization environments
- Familiarity with monitoring and log analysis tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix)
- Basic knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar is preferred
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to read and write technical documentation in English
