As an IT Project Manager, you will plan and drive the end-to-end delivery of technology solutions, through effective planning, team management and stakeholder engagement, ensuring a timely, cost-effective, and exceptional value to the organisation. Lead multiple high-visibility initiatives in a multi-business unit environment.
In this role you will:
- Develop and maintain integrated project management plans covering scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, and communications.
- Apply hybrid methodologies (predictive and adaptive) to optimize delivery and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor and control project performance using PMI processes for risk, issue, and change management.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure stakeholder expectations are met.
- Utilize Office 365, AI-powered tools, and reporting platforms for project tracking and predictive analytics.
- Prepare and present status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries aligned with PMI standards.
- Leverage AI-driven tools to enhance project delivery and decision-making. Implement predictive analytics for risk management, automate reporting dashboards, and utilize AI-based resource optimization to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with governance, quality standards, and security requirements.
- Needs to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of cloud-based projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals and are completed on time
- Manage key activities such as project planning, stakeholder engagement and delivery framework setup. Play a consultative role to help put in place the appropriate people, processes, and tools supporting the delivery framework
- Lead the implementation of cloud-based initiatives, coordinating project timelines, resources, and deliverables to meet project goals.
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to Technology best practices in the industry.
- Adopt PMI-ACP principles to strike the right balance between agility and predictability. Track progress using tools like JIRA, MS Project, or Planview, and deliver clear, timely updates to IT leadership and stakeholders.
- Support the Technical team in managing business expectations and transparency all initiatives. Manage project changes, risks, issues, scope creep, and evolving requirements through formal change control processes.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them effectively or escalate where required.
Qualification
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience in Information Technology
- 8+ years of relevant experience should include:
- Proven leadership and project delivery experience in a matrix organisation with global teams for a large organisation.
- Experience in delivery within the context of a large technology change programme.
- Certified SAFe and PMI ACP (additional certifications such as PMI, Prince 2, CSM desirable) with 5+ years of practical application of the Project Management discipline.
- Well-versed in the use of tools of software delivery e.g. MS OFFICE suite, JIRA, Planview, Confluence etc.
- Good architectural knowledge of large-scale systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to foster a culture of openness, transparency, and mutual respect.
