Position: Junior SQL Analyst
Location: 100% REMOTE
Summary:
- Seeking a Junior SQL Analyst to write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to support reporting, analytics, and data validation tasks
- The Junior SQL Analyst will work within the Snowflake cloud data platform to query, transform, and analyze datasets
- Candidates must have 1+ year of experience working with SQL
- This position is 100% Remote
Responsibilities:
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to support reporting, analytics, and data validation tasks
- Work within the Snowflake cloud data platform to query, transform, and analyze datasets
- Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines, tables, as well as views under guidance from senior analysts or data engineers
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Participate in data quality checks, identify inconsistencies, and help troubleshoot data-related issues
- Support the development of dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Document datasets, processes, and query logic to ensure clarity and reproducibility
- Help ensure proper data governance, security, and best practices within the Snowflake environment
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience working with SQL
- Basic understanding of relational database concepts (joins, aggregations, indexing, normalization)
- Hands-on exposure to Snowflake (coursework, projects, or professional experience)
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with BI/reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.) is preferred
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and tools (dbt, Airflow, etc.) is preferred
- Understanding of cloud data ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is preferred
- Exposure to Python or other scripting languages is preferred
- Banking/Financial Services experience is a plus
