Senior .NET / C# Engineer – Trading Compliance Technology - Systematic Trading Firm - New York - Up to $750k TC

We’re partnering with a globally recognised quantitative research and technology-driven trading firm known for its engineering-first culture and large-scale machine learning and data infrastructure. The organisation is built around deep research, advanced engineering, and systematic equities trading, operating one of the most sophisticated quantitative platforms in the industry.

The firm combines quantitative research, high-performance engineering, and automated trading, with dedicated entities responsible for turning research into live execution. This role sits directly within the technology team supporting that execution environment.

The Opportunity

The firm is hiring a Senior .NET / C# Engineer to join the Trading Compliance Technology team, building systems that monitor and support live systematic trading activity.

This team develops critical platforms responsible for:

• Trade surveillance and monitoring

• Limit management systems

• Regulatory horizon scanning

• Registered entity compliance frameworks

You’ll be working in a highly technical environment where engineering decisions directly support live trading infrastructure, designing systems that ensure trading activity remains transparent, controlled, and aligned with regulatory requirements.

A key focus of the role is helping build and evolve modern monitoring and compliance systems that integrate directly with trading workflows and execution platforms.

The Team

The broader engineering organisation includes large global technology teams spanning multiple research and engineering functions, while the compliance engineering group itself is intentionally small, giving this role significant technical ownership.

You’ll work closely with trading, compliance, and engineering stakeholders, translating regulatory requirements and operational workflows into robust technical systems.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and building high-performance backend services in .NET / C#

• Integrating and implementing vendor surveillance and compliance platforms

• Developing systems for trade monitoring, disclosure management, and regulatory workflows

• Connecting vendor tools with internal trading and data infrastructure

• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or similar orchestration platforms

• Working directly with compliance stakeholders to translate regulatory workflows into scalable technical solutions

• Leading engineering projects and coordinating with consultants where required

What they’re looking for

• Strong backend engineering experience with .NET / C#

• Background in financial services, trading platforms, or regulated environments

• Exposure to trade surveillance or compliance platforms is highly valuable

• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and lead technical initiatives
