Job Family Definition:

Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

As a Systems Software Engineer you will be designing and developing control plane software on platforms running the Next Generation JUNOS Evolved networking infrastructure. You will be working closely with a team of strong and seasoned engineers.

What you need to bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering in CS/ECE/EE/IT or similar stream from a premier institute.
• Typically 6-9 years experience.

Required Skills:

• Good knowledge of C/C++ programming, Data Structures
• Good knowledge of Operating Systems and hands-on experience with Linux development.
• Good problem solving and aptitude skills.
• Quick learner and team player.

• Preferred Skills:
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP Networking including Routers and Switches.
• Understanding of Distributed Computing Systems and Technologies.
