About the role:

Efiniti is growing and we’re looking for a Network Engineer to support key delivery programs for our carrier customer, Optus.



In this role, you’ll be responsible for engineering customer orders end‑to‑end, ensuring services are designed, delivered, and handed over safety and securely

Location: Macquarie Park 2113 NSW

Contract Term: 12 months Contract + Extension

What you will do

·       Own the end‑to‑end technical delivery of customer orders, from initial assessment and design input through to provisioning, testing, and final handover

·       Translate customer and Optus requirements into practical network and systems solutions, ensuring designs are accurate, scalable, and aligned with standards

·       Work closely with internal teams, project managers and Optus stakeholders to clarify scope, confirm dependencies, and keep delivery on track

·       Investigate and resolve complex order and service issues, providing senior‑level technical support and clear guidance to both internal and external stakeholders

·       Maintain high standards of communication with customers and partners, including proactive status updates, clear documentation and timely escalation where required

·       Follow Efiniti’s quality, project, and utilisation processes, including accurate and on‑time completion of timesheets, delivery trackers, and project artefacts

·       Continuously build your technical capability through certifications, internal knowledge‑sharing, and participation in vendor and partner training sessions

·       Proven ability to build strong customer relationships, establish credibility quickly and maintain trust throughout the delivery lifecycle

·       Advanced analytical, troubleshooting and fault‑diagnosis skills, particularly in complex or multi‑vendor telecommunications environments

·       Hands‑on experience designing, implementing, or supporting telecommunications or ICT solutions for small, medium, and/or large customer environments

·       Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, comfortable working on‑site or remotely as part of cross‑functional and senior project teams

·       Demonstrated discovery and requirements‑gathering capability, translating business needs into clear technical specifications and implementation plans

·       Ability to perform under pressure, balance competing priorities and still deliver high‑quality, accurate work to agreed timeframes

·       Broad and solid understanding of common network and hardware technologies (e.g. routers, switches, CPE, access technologies) and willingness to deepen this over time

Who We’re Looking For

·       Degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field

·       Experience in network engineering, telecommunications, or ICT service delivery

·        Knowledge of network provisioning, testing, and troubleshooting

·       Understanding of routers, switches, CPE, and network infrastructure

·       Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills

·       Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage customer requirements
