We’re looking for an experienced Network Engineer to lead a Palo Alto Firewall migration from a virtual HA environment to new physical appliances in our on‑premises data centre.

This role is hands‑on, delivery‑focused, and ideal for an engineer who thrives on complex routing, data centre design, and high‑stakes cutovers for critical production workloads.

What You’ll Deliver

You will drive both design and execution, ensuring a resilient, high‑availability physical firewall architecture and a smooth, low‑risk migration.

Key Objectives

• Design a robust 2‑node physical Palo Alto HA architecture
• Execute a low‑risk migration for business-critical workloads
• Integrate and validate Cisco routing (including BGP) and data centre network connectivity
• Produce clear design documentation, diagrams, and runbooks

What You Bring

Technical Expertise

• Strong experience designing, implementing & migrating Palo Alto Firewalls
• Deep knowledge of Cisco routing & BGP (design, configuration, troubleshooting)
• Proven success migrating workloads from virtual to physical infrastructure
• Understanding of routing convergence, HA behaviour, and asymmetric routing risks
• Experience operating in critical production environments
