As a Venture Builder, you will create, validate, and launch new business ideas inside the company. You will identify promising business opportunities and work in cross-functional teams to design, test, and validate them. Once desirability, feasibility, and viability are demonstrated, you will develop and grow these ventures either within an existing business line or as a new spin-out. You will take on a hands-on entrepreneurial role, building and scaling multiple new business ideas in parallel.
Your role at RBI:
- Work in a cross-functional team of professional innovators to identify, develop, and test business ideas with high growth potential within predefined strategic growth areas.
- Plan and conduct customer discovery activities, including in-depth customer interviews, surveys, and qualitative and quantitative market research.
- Apply customer-centric methodologies such as Jobs-to-Be-Done, customer journey mapping, and problem framing to uncover unmet needs, pain points, and demand signals.
- Translate customer insights into clear value propositions, solution concepts, and testable hypotheses.
- Design and validate new business models (including business plans, financial models, and go-to-market strategies) by gathering strong evidence through experiments, prototypes, and market tests that reduce innovation risk.
- Drive early customer acquisition, product development, and/or market expansion initiatives.
- Monitor, analyse, and interpret key performance indicators to steer growth and assess profitability potential.
- Build and manage strategic partnerships and internal/external networks to support venture development.
- Continuously assess market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities, contributing to the evolution of the innovation strategy and venture-building process.
Your profile:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, or a related field.
- Venture and Innovation Experience: Demonstrated ability to validate, build, or scale new ventures, startups, or business initiatives, including financial modelling and business case development.
- Customer and Market Insight: Proficient in customer discovery, conducting interviews and surveys, market research, and applying frameworks such as Jobs-to-Be-Done and customer journey mapping to identify unmet needs.
- Evidence-Based Solution Design: Skilled in synthesising customer and market insights into value propositions, designing experiments and prototypes, and interpreting results to inform strategy.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills, able to engage early customers, partners, and contribute positively to team dynamics.
- Adaptability and Technical Awareness: High ownership, entrepreneurial drive, resilience in uncertain environments, and knowledge of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, Blockchain, Digital Assets);
- Fluency in English, with German and/or a CEE language as an advantage.
