About Qity
Qity builds software platforms that help MedTech companies bring medical innovations to market. Developing regulated products comes with a heavy compliance burden — teams must generate, manage, and maintain large volumes of technical and quality documentation while simultaneously building complex products.
Our mission is to reduce that burden. We provide digital infrastructure built on the Atlassian ecosystem that structures and supports product development — so Life Sciences teams can focus on innovation, not paperwork.
The Role
As a Software Development Engineer, you'll design and build key components of Qity's platform. You'll work closely with software architects, product managers, and fellow developers to translate product concepts into reliable, scalable software — and you'll have a real say in the technical decisions that shape our platform.
This is a hands-on engineering role. You will:
- Design, develop, and maintain core applications of Qity's platform
- Build frontend and backend components using TypeScript and React
- Translate architectural designs and product requirements into clean, maintainable code
- Collaborate with architects to ensure consistent platform-wide design
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions
- Review code and help raise engineering standards across the team
- Improve development workflows and CI/CD processes
- Maintain clear technical documentation for the components you build
What We're Looking For
Must-have:
- Production experience with TypeScript
- Hands-on experience building modern web applications with React
- A track record of structuring and maintaining complex applications
- Comfort collaborating with architects and product teams in structured environments
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and manage competing priorities
- Professional working proficiency in English
Nice to have:
- Experience with Atlassian Forge or Atlassian Cloud development (we provide training — strong TypeScript developers pick it up quickly)
We welcome applications from candidates with a degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, as well as those with equivalent practical experience.
