About the Role

Zetes is strengthening its Identification & Automation department and is opening a position for a Process & Planning Engineer. This transversal role sits at the heart of the value chain, combining process analysis, continuous improvement, and operational planning oversight.

As a Process & Planning Engineer, you ensure the fluidity and efficiency of all processes, from pre‑sales to final delivery. Your responsibilities include:


Analyze & Map

  • You develop and maintain a complete Value Stream Map covering all process stages.
  • Identify waste, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities across the value stream.

Monitor & Challenge Planning

  • You collect, track, and analyze planning deviations (lead times, delays, internal constraints, supplier issues…).
  • Categorize deviations based on root cause, impact, and affected teams.
  • Ensure daily planning follow‑up, challenging accuracy and reliability, and escalating risks when needed.

Improve & Transform

  • You define, lead, and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Build and maintain an improvement portfolio, prioritizing actions based on impact and feasibility.
  • Lead Lean initiatives (Kaizen, A3, 5 Why’s, Ishikawa, VSM…).
  • Standardize end‑to‑end processes and establish integrated KPIs (lead time, OTD, WIP…).

Coordinate & Engage

  • You work transversally with Pre‑Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Planning, Production, Logistics, and Installation teams.
  • Facilitate workshops, train teams, and support the adoption of new processes.
  • Ensure clear and timely communication to Top Management regarding operational performance.


Your Profile

Education & Experience

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
  • You bring 3–5 years of experience in process improvement, Lean transformation, production planning, or supply chain optimization.
  • You have a strong experience with VSM and end‑to‑end process analysis.
  • Experience in low‑volume / high‑customization environments is an asset.


Skills & Competencies

  • You have a strong analytical mindset and systemic problem‑solving approach.
  • You master Lean tools (VSM, 5 Why’s, Ishikawa, A3, FMEA…).
  • You can lead cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
  • You demonstrate excellent organizational skills and a strong sense of ownership.
  • You have clear communication, facilitation skills, and collaborative mindset.
  • Advanced English (B2–C1). French or Dutch is a plus.
  • Proactive, structured, and committed to continuous improvement.
