Stiltsoft is a B2B SaaS company trusted by over 15,000 organizations worldwide, including Fortune 500 companies. We build enterprise-ready apps for Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket to help teams work better.
We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to help grow and develop two of our products:
- Handy Macros for Confluence - an app for creating interactive content in Confluence
- Smart Attachments for Jira - an app for optimizing document workflows in Jira
Both apps are available in Data Center and Cloud versions.
What You Will Do
- Build full-stack features end-to-end: design architecture, write code, add tests, and participate in code reviews
- Fix bugs, refactor legacy code, and improve UX of existing features
- Work closely with the Product Manager to align technical decisions with product priorities
- Improve engineering processes (code reviews, solution proposals, pull requests)
- Optimize performance, reliability, and usability: not just "doing tasks" but own outcomes, think about long-term impact, and the value for the product
Example task:
Migration of application data from an existing AWS-hosted database to Forge Storage using a dual-write strategy. The task involves designing a safe transition period with concurrent writes to two storage systems, maintaining data consistency, synchronizing records between storages, and handling edge cases such as customers migrating from Data Center to Cloud during the migration process.
Our Tech Stack & Engineering Rituals
- Backend: Java 17+
- Frontend: JavaScript, TypeScript, React
- Frameworks: Atlassian SDK (Data Center), Atlassian Connect Spring Boot & Forge (Cloud)
- Testing: JUnit, Selenium, Playwright, Jest
- Fridays are dedicated to improving developer experience and reducing tech debt
- Code review is mandatory and part of our culture
- Before starting large tasks, we write a Solution Proposal to align expectations
- Tests are meaningful - not written just for coverage
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Developer
- Strong knowledge of React and Java
- Familiar with TypeScript, JavaScript
- Basic understanding AWS console, Datadog, Docker
- Experience writing integration and unit tests
- A collaborative mindset: share ideas, give constructive feedback, take ownership
- English B1+ and professional Russian (team communication is in Russian)
What We Offer
- Real product ownership - no micromanagement, minimal corporate politics, engineers actively participate in idea discussions and roadmap planning
- We aim for quality from the start: “ship now, fix later” isn’t our approach, we try to do it right the first time
- Team practices that bring real value - no unnecessary rituals (yes, no daily standups)
- Working in Atlassian ecosystem means some tech choices are set - the challenge is to be creative within those limits
- Remote-first, with an optional Tallinn office. We cover home office equipment
- Training and education support
- Medical insurance and sports compensation
- Corporate events and teambuildings
- We support the IT community: DevClub sponsorships, open-source contributions (Webpack, JUnit), Atlassian events
Interview Process
Intro call → Take-home task → Team discussion
