We’re looking for a passionate and product-minded Android engineer to join our Discovery team - the group behind some of the most visible and impactful parts of Wolt’s consumer app. You’ll work on features that help millions of users discover their next favorite restaurant, grocery store, or product- from the homepage and category views to new vertical experiences like groceries, electronics, pet food, and health & beauty.
This is more than just an android engineering role. We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with curiosity, ownership, and a deep interest in creating meaningful user experiences at scale.

What you’ll be doing
Day-to-day in this role you’ll:
- Design, build, and operate the high-performance Android consumer app within discovery surfaces, front pages, and category experiences across Wolt’s new and existing verticals.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data to define hypotheses and measure outcomes
- Implement A/B tests and feature flags to validate ideas quickly
- Write clean, testable code that's easy to ship
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical direction through code reviews and design discussions
- Continuously improve technical quality by reducing tech debt, proposing architectural improvements, and measuring their outcomes.
- At least 3-4 years developing Android applications
- Testing ownership mindset (i.e. owning the whole cycle of development - not just developing features, but actually making sure they’re defect free, shipping them into customers’ hands)
- Production app troubleshooting experience
- Capable and self-sufficient in driving the impact not only from tech but from work management perspective as well (e.g. slicing stories into technical tasks etc)
- Big plus - being able to carry projects by themselves with minimum interventions from TL & PL - e.g. talk to a designer to gather missing requirements, create epic(s)/tickets etc
- Desire to build beautiful animations (with the help of our Motion Designer)
- Clear communication style
- Experience working in multi-team development environment
- Android, Kotlin & Coroutines, Compose, Koin, MVI, Modularization, Maestro
- AI driven mindset
- Make an impact: Build features used by millions across multiple countries.
- Own it end-to-end: Design, build, and operate a high-performance Android app with real product impact.
- Collaborate & innovate: Partner with Product, Data, and ML teams to create personalized, data-driven user experiences.
- Grow & learn: Improve architecture, reliability, and performance in a culture that values ownership, curiosity, and teamwork.
