Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer – €85,000 – Cologne Area

This is a senior hybrid infrastructure role for someone who already operates confidently across Azure and classic on-prem environments.

You will act as the technical backbone of IT operations, ensuring seamless integration between cloud and on-prem systems — and stepping in for the Head of Operations when required.

This is not a junior growth role. It is a position for someone who wants real ownership, influence, and long-term impact.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Owning and developing a modern Azure-based hybrid infrastructure
• Ensuring seamless connectivity between Azure and on-prem networks
• Managing Windows Server, Active Directory and VMware environments
• Supporting Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) at enterprise level
• Acting as senior escalation point (2nd / 3rd level support)
• Providing structured guidance to colleagues and deputising IT leadership when required

What You Bring

• 4+ years professional IT infrastructure experience
• Strong Azure production experience
• Deep understanding of Windows Server and Active Directory
• Solid VMware knowledge
• Confidence explaining technical solutions to stakeholders
• Fluent German (C1+)
