Internship Overview

As a DeFi Engineering Intern, you will gain practical experience contributing to the systems that support our on-chain and off-chain trading infrastructure. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will assist in developing and improving components of our crypto trading stack—from smart contracts and on-chain interactions to backend services that connect with DeFi protocols, exchanges, and market data sources.

Throughout the internship, you will be involved in real technical tasks and collaborative projects that help power our trading operations. This role offers an inside look at how decentralized finance infrastructure is built and maintained, while giving you the chance to strengthen your skills in blockchain development, system design, and high-performance trading environments.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Design, implement, and review secure smart contracts (Solidity, Rust) for on-chain applications, focusing on performance, cost efficiency, and security.
• Build and maintain high-performance Rust services that connect blockchain networks with off-chain systems such as data pipelines, analytics tools, and backend infrastructure.
• Develop monitoring, simulation, and testing tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Research emerging blockchain technologies and protocols to identify new opportunities for system improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers and researchers to explore innovative applications within decentralized finance and digital asset ecosystems.

What You Bring to the Team

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals
• Proficient programming in at least one systems or backend language such as Rust, C++, Go, Python, or Java.
• Interest in blockchain technology, distributed systems, or financial technologies.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies, with a proactive mindset.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and reason about system design.

We Would Consider as an Advantage

• Experience with smart contract development (Solidity, Rust, Vyper, Move, etc.).
• Familiarity with blockchain systems or Web3 development.
• Understanding of DeFi protocols such as decentralized exchanges, lending platforms, or liquidity pools.
• Interest in financial markets or digital assets.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or building backend services.
