As a Staff Product Designer, you aren’t just optimising existing flows; you are defining how developers interact with AI-native security from the ground up. Why this role?
Snyk is seeking a Staff Product Designer to join our team building transformative products from the ground up. You will be at the forefront of a paradigm shift in software development. As a Staff Product Designer, you aren’t just optimising existing flows; you are defining how developers interact with AI-native security from the ground up. You will tackle ambiguity head-on, turning complex technical constraints into intuitive, frictionless experiences that define the future of the "One Snyk" platform.
What You’ll Do
- Drive discovery, conducting, research to identify pain points and user needs.
- Work day to day in R&D teams, influencing product decisions through user research.
- Collaborate with other designers to create one Snyk experience.
- Run workshops to understand and get alignment on the team's design priorities.
- Create user journeys, flows and wireframes to communicate complex ideas.
- Use AI-Assisted prototyping to align and validate ideas early and often.
- Collaborate with the Design System team to craft hi-fidelity design artefacts.
- Lead highly complex projects in developer tools and AI security.
- Share your skills, coach other designers, and help build our world-class design team.
- A strong background in Interaction Design, and experience working in developer tools.
- Ability to translate user-centered design methodology and practice into shippable deliverables.
- Strong critical thinking skills to understand user and stakeholder needs vs their wants.
- Experience leading the design in programs that cut across many R&D teams.
- Experience in designing complex enterprise applications.
- Experience designing and facilitating workshops to gain alignment and drive towards outcomes, and collaborate with engineers to solve challenging problems in an innovative way.
- The ability to actively participate in the process. Participate is problem discovery, ideation, testing, iteration and delivery.
- Strong communication skills, especially with non-design stakeholders, to influence roadmap priorities.
- Confidence when interacting and communicating with customers in a range of scenarios, such as workshops, presentations and interviews.
- Have been vibe coding / prototyping with AI tools.
- Have experience working in a similar domain to Snyk.
- Have exposure to working with complex engineering & product teams within a cloud environment.
- Experience working in a fast paced Saas startup environment.
- Are hands-on, curious and love to explore new domains and technologies and a critical thinker prepared to challenge the status quo.
