Position: Senior Mobile Engineer (Málaga/Spain)
This is a permanent position based in Málaga, Spain where we currently have a hybrid work model (office & remote) and flexible working hours, in accordance with Simur ´s internal policies. Private health insurance, English classes and Gym. Continuous training tailored to your personal and professional development and Simur.
Salary range depending on experience *****K€ (relocation assistance to Málaga for the right candidate).
This is a highly technical role. Candidates will be required to complete a technical challenge to demonstrate their abilities.
Your mission
Simur has crafted a solution that provides citizens and companies around the world with a digital identity. This allows them to securely store their documents and personal information, which they can then use to prove their identity and information digitally at any time.
Our candidate will report to the Technical Lead and will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining high-quality cross-platform mobile applications using Microsoft .NET technologies, with a primary focus on .NET MAUI. The role requires strong experience in mobile application development and integration with RESTful Web APIs, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable mobile solutions.

Your activities
- Design, develop, test and maintain high-quality cross-platform mobile applications using .NET MAUI.
- Collaborate in driving the technical architecture and design of mobile applications ensuring scalability, maintainability and performance.
- Write clean, scalable and maintainable code following best practices and modern development standards.
- Collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers, designers and security teams to deliver robust and secure mobile experiences.
- Drive mobile application performance optimization, monitoring and troubleshooting across iOS and Android.
- Integrate with RESTful APIs, authentication services and backend platforms.
- Participate in technical decision making, framework selection and long-term mobile strategy.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes for mobile applications.
- Ensure applications meet security and compliance requirements, particularly related to digital identity and sensitive data.
- Stay up to date with emerging mobile technologies, frameworks and platform changes.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 6-8+ years in a similar role.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English. Spanish is a big plus too although not mandatory.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to help drive technical initiatives.

- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Expert-level experience developing mobile applications using .NET technologies.
- Strong hands-on experience with .NET MAUI.
- Advanced proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of mobile application architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture, Dependency Injection).
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Deep understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and platform guidelines for iOS and Android.
- Strong experience with Git-based workflows and code review processes.
- Experience publishing and maintaining applications in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Experience implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT).
- Experience with mobile performance profiling, monitoring, and debugging tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
- Experience with ASP.NET Web API or backend .NET technologies.
- Experience with mobile security best practices, including secure storage, certificate pinning and encryption.
- Experience with identity, authentication or digital wallet solutions.
- Experience with biometric authentication (FaceID, TouchID and/or Android Biometrics).
- Experience with mobile observability tools (Crashlytics, App Center, Sentry).
- Experience with scalable mobile architecture for enterprise or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with Swift and Kotlin, particularly for integrating native libraries with .NET MAUI apps.
