Join us in building a world-class creative platform used by millions of people.
Our product, SCRL, is a powerful photo and video editing platform loved by millions of creators worldwide.
We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our iOS team and grow into the kind of engineer who can tackle the hardest problems in mobile.
SCRL isn't a typical app. It's a tool people use to create, which means the engineering challenges go far beyond standard iOS development: real-time image and video manipulation, complex multi-touch interactions, advanced layout systems, and performance-sensitive rendering.
You'll be joining a team of experienced engineers who care deeply about their craft. You'll ship real features to millions of users, work on problems that stretch your abilities, and learn faster than you would almost anywhere else.
- Develop features across SCRL's editing experience, from UI components to underlying logic.
- Work on gesture-driven interactions: touch handling, dragging, resizing, and snapping.
- Contribute to performance improvements where frame rates and responsiveness matter.
- Write clean, correct Swift that holds up as the product evolves.
- Deepen your understanding of the iOS platform: UIKit, Core Animation, and frameworks like Core Image and AVFoundation.
- Build intuition for coordinate geometry, state management, and how complex editing features fit together.
- Get regular feedback through code reviews, pairing sessions, and direct collaboration with senior engineers.
- Take on increasingly complex problems as your skills and confidence grow.
- Work closely with design to bring interactions, animations, and transitions to life.
- Participate in planning sessions and contribute ideas to how features are built.
- Share what you learn and help strengthen the team around you.
- Solid experience in iOS development and Swift.
- Experience building interactive, gesture-driven interfaces.
- Familiarity with UIKit and Core Animation.
- Curiosity about what happens beneath the surface of the frameworks you use.
- A desire to get significantly better at what you do.
- Experience working on consumer apps with a large user base.
- Interest in how tools and editors are built.
- A natural curiosity about what happens beneath the surface of the frameworks you use.
- Experience with animation, transitions, or motion in iOS apps.
- You've built something on your own time that you're proud of.
- The chance to work on genuinely hard, interesting problems every day.
- A product that millions of people use to create, not just another feed or dashboard.
- A team that will push you to grow and give you the support to do it.
- Real ownership and visible impact from day one.
- Great colleagues and office in central Stockholm.
- Competitive compensation and opportunities for professional development.
