At Saab, we are expanding our Data & AI platform capabilities and are now looking for a Data & AI Platform Engineer with DevOps experience to join the Software Excellence and Information Assurance (SWEIXA) team within the Surveillance business area.
In this role, you will work with designing, deploying and operating cloud-native Data & AI platforms, enabling development teams to build and run advanced AI solutions. You will collaborate closely with developers and engineers to ensure our platforms are efficient, secure and scalable.

As a Data & AI Platform Engineer, you will work hands-on with platform engineering, automation and AI environments. The role combines DevOps practices, platform operations and AI infrastructure.

Your Role
As a Data & AI Platform Engineer, you will work hands-on with platform engineering, automation and AI environments. The role combines DevOps practices, platform operations and AI infrastructure.
Your responsibilities include:
- Designing and operating Cloud Native Data & AI platforms (On-Prem)
- Contributing to end-to-end Data & AI solution design
- Installing and maintaining AI environments and platform services
- Deploying applications using Kubernetes and Helm
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Ensuring strong observability, logging and troubleshooting
- Supporting development teams with platform improvements
- Implementing Infrastructure-as-Code and automation
- Working with DevSecOps and security-focused practices
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who enjoys working where AI, infrastructure and automation meet. You are collaborative, curious and comfortable working in modern cloud-native environments.
You likely have experience with several of the following:
- Linux environments
- Kubernetes and Helm
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD or TeamCity
- DevOps or platform engineering
- Observability, logging and troubleshooting
- Programming in Python or Go
- Cloud-native applications and integrations
- Infrastructure automation such as Terraform or Ansible
Experience with any of the following is considered a plus:
- Agentic AI or AI-assisted development
- AI/ML development using Python
- LLM concepts such as prompting or RAG
- DevSecOps and security scanning
- Kubernetes operators
- AI or cloud certifications (AWS / Google / Microsoft)
- NVIDIA AI certifications
- Agile methodologies such as SAFe
