At our site in Sweden , we sell state-of-the-art process measurement technology for customers in the biopharmaceutical, chemical and brewery industry, as well as pipetting robots to automate liquid handling processes for the pharmaceutical and food industry through to cell and DNA research.

How you can make a difference:

  • Understand customer needs by analyzing scientific workflows, assays, and challenges to identify suitable automation opportunities.
  • Design, develop, and program automation methods for Hamilton liquid handling systems in alignment with customer specifications and company standards.
  • Implement, test, and optimize workflows to ensure reliable, reproducible, and high-quality results.
  • Manage project planning and communication to secure timely delivery and a strong customer experience throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and maintain user requirement specifications and project documentation according to Hamilton’s defined processes.
  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting to optimize system performance and resolve complex application issues.
  • Deliver hands-on customer training, demonstrations, and technical workshops to ensure confident operation and long-term system success.
  • Support pre-sales activities by contributing technical and scientific expertise to demonstrations, proof-of-concept work, and solution proposals.
  • Drive continuous improvement by sharing best practices and supporting the development of workflows, tools, and team knowledge.

That’s what you bring along:

  • Degree in Life Sciences, Physics, or Engineering (PhD, BSc, MSc, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of programming principles (e.g., flow control, modular design, debugging). For example, experience with Python, C, or C#.
  • Technical Skills: competence in method programming, workflow optimization, and troubleshooting of automated liquid handling solutions or similar equipment.
  • Laboratory Background: Practical laboratory experience in life sciences, ideally within molecular biology, cell biology, or clinical diagnostics.
  • Scientific Understanding: Solid knowledge of laboratory processes, sample preparation, assay development, and validation procedures.
  • Professional Experience in a field-based Application Specialist or similar role, with a strong record of successful project execution and customer engagement is an advantage.
  • IT Proficiency: Skilled in Windows and Microsoft Office applications, with experience using CRM and ERP systems.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written). Proficiency in a Nordic language is a plus (Swedish, Danish or Norwegian).
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Have an EU citizenship or permanent work permit for work and travelling within the EU.
