About the Company

A small digital product studio that partners with founders and early-stage teams to design, build, and launch new software products. The group works closely with startups and product owners to turn ideas into working applications quickly, often taking products from concept through MVP and production release.

The Role

This 2-3 month contract role is for a Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native) who can help take a new consumer AI application from early build to a production-ready mobile product. You will lead much of the mobile development while contributing to backend architecture, AI workflow integration, and deployment.

What You Will Do

  • Build the mobile application using React Native and Expo, establishing the core architecture of the product
  • Implement camera-based functionality that allows users to capture food images directly within the app
  • Develop backend services in Node.js to support image uploads, AI integrations, and recipe generation workflows
  • Integrate LLM-powered services that convert captured food images into structured recipes
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines and prepare the application for submission and release through the Apple App Store

What You Bring

  • Senior-level experience building production mobile applications using React Native
  • Strong understanding of mobile architecture, performance considerations, and scalable app structure
  • Comfort working across the stack, including backend development in Node.js
  • Experience integrating AI APIs or LLM-driven workflows into product features
  • Ability to own projects end-to-end, from early architecture decisions through deployment

Why This Role

This engagement offers the chance to build a new AI-powered consumer mobile product from the ground up within a lean product environment. You will have meaningful ownership over technical decisions while working closely with a team focused on moving quickly from idea to production.
