Talent Acquisition Specialist
Location Address: - 44 King Street W 12th Floor
Work arrangement: -Hybrid, 3 days in the office per week.
Contract Duration: Asap – 9 months
Possibility of extension: There is a possibility. Depending of business case and funding.
Schedule Hours: 9 am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week – no overtime.
Daily activities:
• Provides confidential support for experience hiring in Tech search activity, including:
o Actively participate in Tech search meeting with search firms.
o Partnering closely with internal teams and external search firms to coordinate candidate interviews, ensuring a positive candidate experience; this includes facilitating on-site arrangements and interacting with candidates in person from time to time
o Engaging as a key point of contact with external Tech search firms and for Tech search vacancies.
o Communicating with relevant parties on search updates, including search team, HR Business Partners, hiring leaders and VP, Leadership & Talent Management
• Managing all invoice processing, ensuring all approvals and submissions are in line with the Bank’s accounting processes.
• Managing and maintaining the central Sharepoint database for all experience hiring in Tech Talent Acquisition materials, ensuring documents are kept up to date and archived on a regular basis; provides feedback and recommendations for process improvements for regular processes in experience hiring in Tech TA.
• Works closely with Senior manager Talent Acquisition in support of various projects across experience hiring in Tech Talent Acquisition; as time permits, may also engage with Tech search team to support on search activities, including candidate sourcing and screening
• Contributing to the overall success of Talent Strategy, delivering on goals, plans and initiatives in support of the team’s overall strategies and objectives
• Supporting Talent Strategy globally and in alignment with Scotiabank’s vision and Global Human Resources strategy
• Maintaining a customer-focused culture throughout the team to deepen internal and external relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
Must-have requirements:
• At least 3 years of progressive human resources experience, in recruitment and/or working with Tech-level research.
• At least 1 year of experience in candidate sourcing, including experience working with LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Experience with candidate screening and assessments.
• Agile and able to work on a fast-paced environment.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Familiarity with an Applicant Tracking system (ATS) is an asset.
• Bilingual communication skills in French and/or Spanish is an asset.
Education:
Post-secondary degree or diploma preferred.
