Our client in Toronto is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support and evolve a complex, multi-location enterprise environment. This opportunity offers exposure to a broad spectrum of network technologies spanning LAN, WAN, wireless, cloud, and advanced security architectures. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, securing, and optimizing connectivity solutions that enable business operations across geographically dispersed sites. Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and support scalable LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and wireless solutions across multiple distributed locations, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Administer and optimize a broad range of network and security technologies, including Palo Alto firewalls, routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), IDS/IPS, and Zero Trust architectures.
  • Lead infrastructure initiatives such as new site deployments, relocations, technology refreshes, and network modernization projects.
  • Monitor network performance, conduct capacity planning, and proactively resolve complex issues within a multi-site enterprise environment.
  • Implement and maintain security controls aligned with industry best practices and compliance frameworks, partnering with internal and external security teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, standardized configurations, and deployment templates to support operational excellence and scalable growth.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of hands-on network engineering experience within a distributed, and 5+ years of experience in a multi-location enterprise environment.
  • Strong expertise across a broad spectrum of network technologies, including enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto), routing/switching platforms, wireless infrastructure, VPNs, and secure access solutions.
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, NAT, QoS, SD-WAN, cloud networking (Azure/AWS), and hybrid connectivity models.
  • Experience with network monitoring, alerting, and automation tools to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, NSE, PCNSE, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent credentials are considered an asset.


Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 annually

On site in Toronto, Ontario
