JOB PURPOSE:
The Senior Manager Marketing will be responsible for all branding and marketing tasks related to Awasr and for the ongoing design and implementation of Awasr's residential and Business core and beyond core products. The Senior Manager Marketing is responsible for increasing the profitability of broadband products to developing new products for the company as well as planning, development and implementation of all Awasr's marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. The Senior Manager Marketing directs the efforts of the marketing, communications and public relations staff and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of Awasr.
This role will be responsible for the building of new products from existing ideas and will help to develop new ideas based on industry experience and through contact with customers and prospects. This role will require the possession of a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.
The Senior Manager Marketing must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. A key area of work will be to define product release requirements and ensure a smooth launch of products. Head of Products will provide key input to marketing communications and advertising and will define the go-to-market strategy, product positioning, key benefits, and target customers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Thinking and Planning:
* Develop the functional strategy as cascaded down from the company strategy and oversee its implementation throughout the organisation and its operations, to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departmental strategies across Awasr.
Managerial Accountabilities:
* Align with the VP Sales to conduct the go to market strategy for all current and future products.
* Ensure sales channel coordination and that all channels are considered appropriately for each promotional program.
* Execute product strategy and roadmap for Awasr Residential and Business product lines with revenue expectations.
* Supplement training efforts to ensure sales teams are fully knowledgeable and able to sell Awasr's products and services.
* Ensure articulation of Awasr's desired image and position, assure consistent communication of image and position throughout Awasr, and assure communication of image and position to all constituencies, both internal and external.
* Ensure that Awasr's philosophy, mission and vision are pertinent and practiced throughout the organisation.
* Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to goals and objectives, and report progress to the CXOs.
* Recommend and manage the marketing communications budget.
* Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals and financial objectives.
Operational Accountabilities:
* Determine the best mix of marketing communications media to deliver the strategic plan of Awasr.
* Develop and direct measurable multi-channel, cross-channel, channel-specific, product, promotional, and cause-related marketing programs that tie back to brand strategy and business goals.
* Direct the development and execution of marketing communications initiatives including product launches, sales collateral, tradeshows, campaigns, social site presence, company website, and corporate events.
* Maintain overall responsibility for the brand and advertising initiatives of Awasr.
* Maintain the corporate brand across all mediums and initiatives in Awasr.
* Manage the appearance of all Awasr print and electronic materials such as letterheads, use of logo, brochures, etc.
* Perform research to find target audiences, hold focus groups, outline goals, develop concepts, create storyboards, approve copywriting, and set budgets for ad campaigns.
* Report regularly on competitive intelligence comparing similar products from other operators.
* Responsible for marketing and publicizing goods or services within a company.
* Supervise advertising campaigns for advertising agencies, media firms or companies
* Take proactive responsibility for self-improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge and innovations in relevant field of expertise.
* Analyse competitors' offers, market share, advertising, and promotional plans; pricing, distribution mix, sales challenges; unique market advantages, weaknesses, requirements and characteristics, and report this information to senior management.
* Analyse potential partner relationships for the product.
* Drive a solution set across development teams (primarily Engineering, Commercial and Marketing Communications) to make sure that the product is well defined, understood and technically feasible and commercially profitable.
* Serve as an interface with local network teams on all aspects of product marketing.
* Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by direct interaction with customers and non-customers.
* Work with the marketing team to understand residential and business market's emerging customer needs and develop requests for new products or product enhancements including feature adjustments, account solutions, pricing changes, etc
Resource Management:
* Define and manage the effective use of both in and out-sourced resources to deliver against Awasr's strategic plan.
* Manage the selection, contracts and performance of agencies according to business needs/ scope and deliverables received.
* Manage resources based on recruitment needs and organisational changes as and when they occur.
People Management:
* Manage the departmental team of direct and indirect reports through effective recruitment, development, performance management, and succession planning, to maximise team performance and achieve departmental objectives.
Budget Management :
* Manage the development and consolidation of the departmental budget within own scope, and monitor the department's financial performance versus the budget, to ensure the exercising of financial authority within established limits and the control of departmental budget expenditure.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Business, Marketing or Telecommunications or equivalent.
* 10- 12 years of telecommunications marketing experience.
* Telecommunications, etc.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
* English mandatory, Arabic mandatory.
