The role spans market analysis, technical definition, product development, containerized system architecture, PCS/EMS integration, safety compliance, and commercial success.

You will work closely with engineering, supply chain, certification bodies, EPC partners, utilities, and large industrial customers to ensure successful deployment of grid-scale and C&I energy storage products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define product strategy for utility-scale and industrial BESS (AC-coupled, DC-coupled, hybrid ESS).
  • Build the long-term roadmap for containerized BESS (250 kWh – 10+ MWh) and PCS/inverter platforms.
  • Analyse global and domestic market trends (LFP cell tech, 2P/3P configuration, liquid cooling, fire safety).
  • Define competitive differentiation in cost, safety, energy density, lifecycle, and digital integration.
  • Conduct market sizing, TAM/SAM analysis, and customer segmentation (utilities, IPPs, C&I).
  • Create PRDs and system specifications for:
  • Battery packs, racks, and container architecture
  • PCS/inverter requirements (20 ft/40 ft)
  • HVAC/thermal management
  • Fire Detection & Suppression (FDS)
  • BMS/EMS integration
  • Protection schemes, grounding, and grid code compliance
  • Define performance KPIs: round-trip efficiency, degradation, availability, OPEX.
  • Work with R&D on cell selection, topology choices, control algorithms, safety design.
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, thermal, firmware, and EMS teams.
  • Drive certification requirements (UL9540, UL1741, IEC 62933, UL1973, IEEE 1547, BIS and other relevant standards as applicable).

  • Develop technical datasheets, manuals, and product documentation.
  • Train internal teams (sales, service, EPC partners).
  • Track product field performance using data analytics and customer feedback.
  • Drive cost-down initiatives (cell sourcing, cooling redesign, cabinet/container optimization).
  • Manage component EOL and product upgrades.
  • Lead next-gen design initiatives (liquid cooling upgrades, modular PCS, sodium-ion readiness, etc.).
  • Good Customer connect in utilities, IPPs, C&I, microgrid segments.
  • Work closely with developer, consultant, EPC, and support design proposal, Product evaluation and technical clarification.
